FEATURING THE BETHPAGE BLACK
Play the Same First Tee As They Did
Augusta, Pine Valley, Winged Foot — the courses that decide championships are almost always closed to you. Bethpage Black is the exception. It is a state-owned public course on Long Island, and the golfer who walks off the 18th on a Tuesday morning has played the same holes, from the same turf, as the players below.
That is what you are actually buying. Not a tee time — the walk up to the first tee at a course where the game’s history was written, knowing you earned your way on.
Tiger Woods
Woods won by three over Phil Mickelson. The first U.S. Open ever contested on a true public course, and the reason it is still called the People’s Open.
Lucas Glover
A rain-soaked week that ran to Monday. Glover took his only major by two from Mickelson, David Duval and Ricky Barnes.
Brooks Koepka
Koepka opened with a 63 to break the competitive course record, then held off Dustin Johnson for back-to-back Wanamakers.
Europe, 15–13
Europe held on through a furious Sunday singles charge to win on American soil for the first time since 2012, in front of the loudest gallery in golf.

What a visitor is up against
01
A five-day window
Golfers who are not verified New York State residents can only reserve from five days out — releasing at 7:00 PM New York time for a single date, ending the night before play.
02
A trip you cannot plan backwards
Five days is shorter than the lead time on a transatlantic flight, a Manhattan hotel and a week off work. You would be booking the journey and hoping.
03
Competition built for the task
Demand is such that the state has added a non-refundable booking fee and two-factor confirmation codes to keep automated bots off the tee sheet.
04
One course, one chance
Miss the window and the answer is to come back another year. There is no second Bethpage Black.
Where we come in
Twenty-nine years on one problem
We are not a luxury travel company that added golf to a brochure. Global Golf Shuttle has been moving visiting golfers around New York golf since 1997 — long enough to have built the relationships, the operating knowledge and the local presence that this particular course demands.
How we work is our own. What it means for you is straightforward:
Your Bethpage date is secured and confirmed before you commit to flights.
Travel, hotel and dining are then scheduled around the tee time — never the reverse.
Ground transport is timed to the round, with the Manhattan–Long Island run built in.
One team, one point of contact, from the first call to the last putt.
Confirmed Bethpage Black access applies to qualifying packages and is subject to Bethpage State Park’s own rules, published rates and seasonal availability. We will tell you what is realistic for your dates before you book anything.

The Bucket-List Round
Bethpage State Park
Host of two U.S. Opens, the 2019 PGA Championship and the 2025 Ryder Cup — and still a municipal course you can walk with a bag on your shoulder. Long, brutal and completely unforgiving of a loose tee shot. Most golfers who play it once talk about it for the rest of their lives.
Bethpage’s Red and Blue courses sit on the same property and make sensible second and third rounds when you want more than one day on site.
- 01The jet landsPrivate aviation where it makes sense, scheduled flights where it does not. You are met on arrival and the car is already waiting.
- 02You make your tee timeThe tee time was confirmed before you flew. The drive is timed to it, and the clubs are handled from the car to the first tee.
- 03The hotel is already setRooms held against the round, keys ready when you arrive, and the evening’s table booked around the golf rather than against it.
- 04You fly homeThe return transfer is scheduled to your departure, and someone from our team is reachable right up to the moment you leave.
Common Questions
Before you book
Can you actually get me onto Bethpage Black?
Securing and confirming Bethpage Black tee times for visiting golfers is the core of what we do, and has been since 1997. Access is confirmed on qualifying packages and remains subject to Bethpage State Park’s rules and seasonal availability — so the honest answer is that we will tell you what is realistic for your specific dates before you commit to anything.
How far ahead should I contact you?
As early as you can. The public system only opens to non-residents five days out, which is exactly why planning a trip around it does not work. The more notice we have — and the more flexible your dates — the stronger your position.
I’m flying in from overseas. Can you handle the whole trip?
Yes — that is the brief we are built for. Private jet charter or a commercial arrival met at the airport, the Manhattan hotel, ground transport timed to every tee, the rounds themselves, dinner reservations, tickets, and the return journey. One team handles all of it.
Can we play more than one course?
Most groups do. Bethpage’s Red and Blue courses, Montauk Downs out past the Hamptons, and Ferry Point in the Bronx all pair well with a Black round, and transport between them is coordinated as part of the package.
Can you get us onto a private club?
Private club access runs through membership and personal invitation and cannot be sold as a package — by us or anyone else. Where something is genuinely possible for your dates we will say so; where it is not, we will tell you that too, before you travel.
Do you handle corporate and group outings?
Corporate and group outing coordination is a core service. Tell us the headcount and what the day needs to achieve and we will build the itinerary, the fleet schedule and the evening around it.
