NORTHLAND, NEW ZEALAND
INTRODUCING THE ESTATE
The Te Arai Links Coastal Estate
Te Arai Links is more than a championship venue. It is a coastal retreat shaped by wind, sand, and sea.
Set along New Zealand’s untouched Pacific shoreline, sweeping dunes frame dramatic ocean horizons while modern links architecture delivers a pure and exhilarating style of play.
Beyond the fairways, guests retreat to ocean-view cottages and contemporary villas, where evenings are defined by refined coastal dining, warm hospitality, and uninterrupted sunset views.

Two neighbours, two different ways in.
Te Arai Links and Tara Iti sit side by side on the same stretch of Northland shoreline, so they are often spoken of together. How you get onto each could not be more different.
- Bookable
Te Arai Links
South · Coore & Crenshaw, 2022 — North · Tom Doak, 2023
- What it is
- Destination golf: a resort with two links courses, cottages, villas and dining on the estate. The two courses alternate daily between member play and resort play.
- How you get on
- Through Te Arai’s own reservation and access arrangements — open to resort guests and green-fee players, booked in advance.
- What we do
- Plan the whole stay around it: tee times through the resort’s channels, then the cottage or villa, transfers, dining and the days in between.
- By invitation
Tara Iti
Tom Doak, 2015 · Private members’ club
- What it is
- A highly exclusive private club, widely ranked among the finest courses in the world. It is not a resort, and it does not sell tee times.
- How you get on
- Only through the club’s own invitation and guest policies. Access is the club’s decision alone.
- What we do
- We do not sell or promise Tara Iti access, and no one honestly can. If an invitation comes your way through the club, we will plan the trip around it.
Global Golf Shuttle is independent of both clubs. Te Arai Links tee times are subject to the resort’s own availability and policies; access to Tara Iti is decided by Tara Iti alone.
